Product overview
AK Interactive Basic Starter Set – 14 Colors selected by Josedavinci is the beginner box, and it is built on the colour wheel rather than on any one subject: primary, secondary and tertiary colours chosen so a newcomer learns to mix instead of buying a paint for every job — AK's own phrase is losing the fear of mixtures. Experienced painters who like mixing their own tones get the same spread. The box also includes printed colour-theory cards, which is what makes it a starter set rather than simply fourteen paints.
Set contains (14 × 17 ml): AK11001 White, AK11029 Black, AK11183 Amethyst Blue, AK11180 Imperial Blue, AK11182 Deep Blue, AK11172 Archaic Turquoise, AK11142 Deep Green, AK11136 Frog Green, AK11045 Deep Yellow, AK11080 Deep Orange, AK11087 Scarlet Red, AK11091 Carmine, AK11096 Wine Red, AK11067 Magenta
Includes printed colour-theory cards: a colour wheel, complementary, analogous, triadic and tetradic schemes, warm-versus-cool charts and a "HOW TO USE" QR code
Matt finish throughout — no metallic or gloss member in the box
Acrylic colours for brush; for airbrush, dilute with water or AK11500 thinner
Made by AK Interactive S.L. in Logroño, Spain

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.

Nice paints, nice selection, nice price
AK interactive is one of my favourite brands for paint, I also like their all in one facade sets. This is a useful selection of basic colours and the colour theory tips are a bonus. As always Hobby Heaven offers the best price.

Great service and price
Item arrived quickly and was exactly what I ordered. Would definitely recommend.
I had not come across this website before so I was hesitant when I saw the amazing price, however after reading reviews I went ahead and ordered. I am really happy I did and will include Hobby Heaven in future hobby spending sprees!

Fantastic starter set
Came back to painting recently and all my paints had settled beyond repair. This set is probably the most comprehensive I have found to get a foundation of colours and at a better value than anything else aswell. The paints themselves are also of a higher quality than my older, more expensive, ones.

The best price I found on the web, but not stopping there the delivery was fast and efficient.
