Product overview

AK8209-A4 provides a compact cutting and measuring surface for modelling work. The mat measures 300 × 220 mm and uses five layers of recycled PVC, with two soft outer faces surrounding a hard white core. At 3 mm thick, its self-healing surface closes superficial blade marks over time as the outer layers recover.

The grid is printed in different shades on the two working faces.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
