Abteilung 502 Flesh Shadow is an artist oil formulated specifically for shading flesh and skin on painted figures. AK Interactive positions the colour as a way to build depth and subtle shadows while retaining a natural-looking skin tone. It can be worked alongside lighter and mid-tone flesh colours to develop stronger contrast and more dramatic definition. The ABT502 formula uses a reduced proportion of oil to support a more matt finish and controlled blending on miniature and model surfaces.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
