Abteilung 502 Flesh Ocher is a light brown and cream-toned artist oil developed for figure painting and scale-model weathering. AK Interactive recommends it for ageing models finished in either light or dark colours, as well as for combining with other shades when painting exposed flesh areas on figures. The reduced-oil ABT502 formulation is intended to produce a more matt finish than conventional artist oils while retaining the blending and working characteristics associated with oil paint.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
