Product overview

Azure Blue was used on the lower surfaces by RAF aircraft in their campaign in North Africa during WWII. Some of the well-known aircraft that used it were the Sptfire and Hurricane among others.

Real colour with optimised formula for maximum performance both with brush and airbrush, accurately and slightly lightened for scale reduction effect. Each jar includes a stainless-steel agitator to facilitate mixture. Available in 17mL jars. Water soluble, odourless and non-toxic. Shake well before each use. We recommend A.MIG-2000 Acrylic Thinner for a correct dissolution. Complete drying in 24h.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
