Warhammer 40 000 Bases Reference Guide
Prepare for battle, brave warriors of the tabletop! Welcome to the grim darkness of Warhammer 40,000, where plastic heroes wage eternal war and base sizes can be as treacherous as a Chaos God's smile.
This behemoth of gaming has outlasted Empires, standing tall alongside legends like Battletech. But even in the 41st millennium, change is the only constant. Witness the evolution of 40k's basing system - a tale to rival the most epic Black Library novels!
Picture this: venerable armies once proudly stood on 25mm bases, now dwarfed by fresh recruits on 32mm circles. Just as you thought you had it figured out, Games Workshop unleashed the curveball of 28mm standard bases. By the Emperor's Golden Throne, what madness is this?
Today's battlefields sing with circles and ovals, a deceptively simple symphony that would boggle even a Tzeentchian sorcerer. Ready to master this crucial art of warfare? Arm yourself with our Warhammer base size reference guide and prepare to base your forces with the confidence of a Space Marine charging into glorious combat!

The Old World Bases Reference Guide
Hear ye, hear ye, noble painters and purveyors of plastic! Prepare to embark on a time-bending adventure that'll make even a Slann Mage-Priest's head spin! Warhammer: The Old World is back, and it's brought more nostalgia than you can shake a Skaven at!
Picture this: You're standing atop the walls of Altdorf, watching as a sea of square bases stretches to the horizon. That's right, folks - squares are cool again! It's like the hipsters of the Warhammer world finally got their way.
But hold onto your codpieces, because The Old World isn't just a trip down memory lane. Oh no, it's got more new tricks up its sleeve than a Tzeentchian sorcerer at a magic convention! We're talking 60x30mm cavalry rectangles that'll make your horsies prance with joy, and 30mm character squares that'll have your heroes striking poses worthy of a Renaissance painting.
Now, we know what you're thinking: "By Sigmar's flowing locks, how am I supposed to keep track of all these new base sizes?" Fear not, brave hobbyist! Our Warhammer: The Old World base size reference guide is here to save your bacon faster than a Dwarf can down a pint. It's free, it's comprehensive, and it's got more information than a Wood Elf's family tree!
Whether you're polishing up your trusty Bretonnian cavalry or mustering a frosty new Kislevite force (because who doesn't love a good ice pun?), our guide has you sorted. Bid farewell to those puzzling moments where your army looks as mismatched as a Skaven's wardrobe choices. With our assistance, your forces will be based so accurately, even a Dwarf Engineer would put down his ale to nod in approval!
So, polish your armor, sharpen your swords, and get ready to dive back into a world where magic flows like wine and every other person is plotting world domination (or at least regional domination - let's be realistic here). The Old World is calling, and it's got more squares than a chessboard convention!
Are you ready to answer the call, or are you chicken? (And if you are a chicken, make sure it's a Cock-a-trice - those are way cooler in the Old World!)
Age of Sigmar Bases Reference Guide
Listen up, hobby heroes and miniature maniacs! Gather 'round as we dive into the wild world of Age of Sigmar (AOS) - the game that dropkicked the Old World into oblivion and emerged victorious, trailing glitter and broken square bases in its wake!
Remember Warhammer Fantasy Battle? AOS looked at those neat ranks of square-based minis and said, "Squares? In my Mortal Realms? It's less likely than you think!" Faster than a Kharadron Overlord could say "profit," we were suddenly rolling in circles. Literal circles. And ovals too!
But don't start a Realm-shaking tantrum just yet! This round revolution brought with it rules so smooth, even a Gloomspite Grot could grasp them. No more need for a tome-sized rulebook or selling your soul to Tzeentch for a competitive army. AOS is serving up epic battles with a side of simplicity, and folks are eating it up like Ogors at an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Now, after a few years of polish, AOS's base sizes are more stable than a Stormcast Eternal's resolve. Games Workshop even gifted us mere mortals with a public base size reference sheet. It's almost like they don't want us mounting our Stardrakes on bases the size of a Realmgate!
Whether you're a grizzled vet still hoarding square bases or a fresh-faced recruit ready to charge into the Mortal Realms, we've conjured up a AOS base size reference guide that'll make even the most chaotic Chaos Lord nod in approval. It's free, it's comprehensive, and it'll save you from the shame of basing your Mega-Gargant on a 25mm round. (We've all been there, right? Right?)
So grab your hobby knife, prime that plastic, and let's conquer this basing business together! In AOS, the only limit is your imagination... and maybe your significant other's patience with your ever-growing pile of shame. Now go forth and base with confidence, you magnificent maniacs!

Warhammer Fantasy Battle Bases Reference Guide
Gather 'round, ye olde wargamers and fantasy enthusiasts! Let's take a nostalgic trip back to the days of square bases and rank-and-file combat with Warhammer Fantasy Battle (WFB) - the granddaddy of tabletop warfare that ruled supreme from 1983 to 2015!
Picture this: A world where elves, dwarfs, and humans clash with the forces of Chaos, all neatly arranged in tidy squares like the world's most violent chess set. For over three decades, WFB was the go-to game for anyone who wanted to command legions of painted plastic while yelling "For the Empire!" at the top of their lungs.
But alas! In 2015, Games Workshop decided to pull a Thanatos and snap WFB out of existence, replacing it with Age of Sigmar. You'd think that would be the end of our square-based shenanigans, right? Wrong! Like a stubborn Dwarf holding a grudge, WFB refused to go quietly into that good night.
To this day, there's a dedicated band of players still duking it out using the 6th and 8th edition rules. These magnificent madlads are keeping the Old World alive through sheer force of will (and probably a bit of Warp magic). It's like finding out your favorite cancelled TV show has a secret underground fanbase still making new episodes!
But wait, there's more! Those beloved square bases aren't just relics of a bygone era. They've found new life in The 9th Age - a completely free, fan-made setting that's more competitive than an Orc WAAAGH! at an all-you-can-fight buffet. It's like WFB got reincarnated and came back cooler than ever!
So whether you're a grizzled veteran who still dreams in square formation or a curious newcomer wondering what all the fuss is about, there's never been a better time to dive into the world of WFB and its spiritual successors. Dust off those square bases, rally your troops, and let's keep this fantasy party going! After all, in the grim darkness of the past, there is only WAR... and really cool miniatures.

Wow, what an amazing resource! I can’t tell you the amount of models i re-base and never 100% know what size they need and end up spending a decent amount of time searching if this certain Space Marine is on the correct size base. I will be using this guide whenever i intend to re-base something, which is quite often. Its also fantastic that i can also buy the bases that i need at an incredible price! Great work HobbyHeaven!
