Product overview
Vallejo Metal Color Silver delivers a bright, highly reflective metallic finish for polished aluminium, chrome-effect details and natural-metal surfaces. Its aluminium-pigment formula is water based and intended primarily for airbrush use, allowing metallic effects without switching to enamel or lacquer paints. The fast-drying paint forms a smooth, self-levelling layer and can also be applied by brush where more precise coverage is needed. For aircraft finishes, Vallejo recommends applying it over Gloss Black Primer.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
