Vallejo Metal Color Pale Burnt Metal 77.704 is a warm, lightly oxidised metallic shade for surfaces affected by heat or prolonged service. It provides a different character from clean aluminium colours and suits exhaust panels, engine cowlings and heat-treated metal components. The 32 ml water-based paint contains aluminium pigments and is formulated chiefly for airbrushing, but it may also be applied by brush where smaller metallic areas require controlled placement.
- Apply directly by airbrush or dilute with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver.
- Recommended compressor pressure: 15–20 PSI.
- Forms a fast-drying, self-levelling metallic layer.
- Allow 12 hours before masking the painted surface.
- The bottle includes a stainless steel stirring ball.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
