Vallejo Fuel Stains 73.814 is an acrylic weathering effect for depicting fuel spillage marks on military vehicles, tanks and trucks. In the field, refuelling was a rough process involving pails, funnels and hose sections, leaving characteristic streaks and splashes across hull panels and filler areas. This effect reproduces those traces with a single application.
Water-based acrylic, 40 ml pot
Apply directly on the base coat around fuel caps, filler necks and hull panels
Dries rapidly; permits immediate further manipulation
Realistic fuel spillage traces for armour, soft-skins and field equipment

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
