This slim 1mm masking tape can be used on subjects such as plastic and R/C models. PET plastic covers help prevent distortion and allow minimal dust to settle on the tape for superior longevity. The tape is exceedingly useful in any masking situation, but particularly in fine paint jobs or intricate and complex livery designs.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
