A synthetic domed brush for controlled shaping, soft edges, and rounded marks.
Specific published details for Series 142 were not surfaced in the sources I found, so this description is inferred from the brush shape and Rosemary & Co’s synthetic line. As a domed synthetic on a long handle, it is likely intended for controlled, rounded application where a softer working edge is useful. Domed synthetic brushes typically sit between a flat and a round: they can lay paint smoothly, shape marks with a soft edge, and move between broad and narrow pressure. In the same price bracket, it would generally be chosen over a standard round when the painter wants a little more surface contact and a more forgiving edge. That makes it useful for miniature and model painters who need controlled transitions, as well as artists who want a brush that can both place and soften paint. The long handle suggests use at a more extended working distance, which also fits acrylic, oil, and model-making work. [inferred]
What makes this brush special
A domed brush usually feels slightly cushioned at the edge, with a rounded working profile that spreads under pressure but still returns to shape. Compared with a flat, it leaves softer edges; compared with a round, it covers more surface before lifting. The synthetic fibre should give it predictable spring and easier maintenance than natural hair. The key feel is controlled softness rather than sharp precision. [inferred]
Medium compatibility
Acrylic
Best with properly thinned acrylics, especially for detail and glazing.
Miniature Paints
Works well with fluid hobby acrylics for detail, layering and controlled basecoating.
Great for
Soft-edged shading and controlled shaping on miniatures or models.
Small blended passes where a round would feel too pointed.
General-purpose controlled painting when a rounded edge is helpful.
Technique & use
Drybrushing
Less ideal for
Ultra-fine linework, where a true rigger or pointed round will be more precise.
Rough drybrushing or heavy texture application.

How to care for your brush
Clean with lukewarm water and mild brush soap, then reshape the dome gently with the fingers. Avoid crushing the rounded tip in storage, because the shape is the brush’s main advantage. Do not leave it standing in water, and avoid aggressive solvents unless the brush is being used in a solvent-friendly workflow. Store it flat or upright with the head protected so the domed profile stays intact. [inferred]

They may look a bit expensive and maybe overkill for drybrushing, but the quality is pretty high and the avilability of multiple bristle size is ideal also for small miniatures and areas

Great Brushes!
The quality of these brushes has exceeded my expectations. Rosemary & Co Model Dry Brushes really made an impact on my miniature painting. Probably the biggest difference that I noticed when comparing to my other dry brushes is the bristle density. It allows for unparalleled softness and stiffness at the same time, yielding significantly more control of where and how the paint is applied. Anyhow, give them a try... you won't be disappointed.
