Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl 1-Step is a one-coat paint designed for fast, high-contrast results on miniatures. Applied over a white or zenithal prime, each colour settles naturally into recesses while staying brighter on raised surfaces, producing shading and highlights in a single pass. The range sits alongside contrast and speed paints from other makers but uses the Pro Acryl acrylic base, so all 24 colours thin with water and mix freely with the standard Pro Acryl palette.
- Works best over a bright base coat — white primer or a zenithal (white over black) for maximum contrast.
- Can be thinned with water for glazing and filtering effects, or mixed with Pro Acryl 1-Step Special Sauce Medium to convert standard Pro Acryl colours into one-coat paints.
- Each bottle contains a 5 mm laboratory-grade glass agitator — inert and rust-free.
- Non-toxic, conforms to ASTM D-4236. Made in the USA.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
