Product Information

Liquitex Acrylic ink 30ml Bottle

Liquitex Pro Acrylic Inks offer professional quality colors for any medium. The ink dries quickly, is non-clogging and permanent, making it ideal for a variety of techniques from watercolour effects to stamping.

Liquitex Professional Acrylic Inks are available in a range of 50 colors in 3 sizes - 30ml, 60ml and 120ml primary packs. These acrylic inks can be used for a variety of techniques from stenciling, airbrushing and fabric painting to drybrush and ink braying. The colors are lightfast so they can be used on wool.

Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink is the perfect tool for artists who want to produce quick and lively color washes, use large areas of color or block out their underpainting with bold strokes.

The intense lightfast colors dry down to a matte, non-flaking finish which is perfect for watercolors and technical pen work. These inks can be mixed with other Liquitex acrylics or mediums, producing vibrant results. They can be used to create virtually any effect - from watercolor washes to airbrushed spray effects!

A lot of people use these in painting miniatures and wargaming to achieve transparent washes to bring out more detail.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
