Product overview
The Crimson Crown edition belongs to Gaahleri's first Aventus generation: a dual-action airbrush with the paint cup on top (gravity feed). In the box you get both a 0.2mm and a 0.4mm setup, so one airbrush covers crevice shading, edge work and weathering as well as smooth base coats. Its three-part aluminium body is CNC-milled without welds, and that modular split is what lets the range come in different colour schemes. Gaahleri describe the trigger response as "zero-lag".
- Teardrop main lever, usable with thumb or index finger
- Vortex nozzle system (patent pending) aimed at reduced overspray and smoother blends
- Ultra Mirror-Level cups sized 1/5 oz and 1/10 oz
- Wide round air cap, 360 Quick-Fit air cap and a male quick-disconnect included
- 0.4mm needle with its nozzle and cap, plus the 0.2mm nozzle and cap
Notes · Q & A
What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
