Premium rounded drybrush line for controlled texture, weathering, and comfortable long-session use.
Series D is Artis Opus's dedicated drybrush line, built around a rounded head shape and a short, chunky handle for control and comfort. The brand's positioning is explicit: "Dry-brushing reborn."
The heads are rounded rather than flat, and densely packed with premium-grade natural hair. This means the brush can pick up detail from multiple directions rather than only from a linear edge, and the dense hair helps controlled paint transfer while resisting fray. Compared with standard bristle drybrushes, Series D is softer, more controlled, and more comfortable for long sessions.
What makes this brush special
Rounded head shape captures detail from all angles, unlike flat drybrushes. Densely packed premium natural hair for controlled paint transfer. Short, chunky handle designed for the grip and pressure patterns of drybrushing. Significantly softer and more precise than budget drybrushes.

How to care for your brush
Clean immediately after use and reshape as best you can. Brush soap or suitable artist brush cleaner. Keep the head clean, dry, and not crushed. Don't leave paint in the head, don't scrub harshly, and don't use it for tasks requiring a sharp point.
Premium drybrush set that delivers exceptional control and precision for miniature painting. Customers said these brushes "really bring out the detail" and achieve "amazing" blending effects. Praised for ease of handling, even with dexterity issues. While not cheap, reviewers agree they're "well worth the money" and will last years.

Believe the hype
I was very happy when I purchased my set of Artis Opus S brushes, although not cheap they are well worth the money IMO. But is it really worth spending good money on fancy dry-brushes? In a word yes. The control and precision on these things is pretty great, and the blending and effects you can achieve border on amazing. I’m a convert
