Product overview

AK458 presents Silver as a wax-based metallic paint for scale modelling. It is applied as a coloured wax and, once dry, polished until the metallic sheen emerges. Priming is recommended before the Silver layer goes down. The material can be worked directly by brush, with a fingertip or a cotton swab, while airbrush use requires suitable thinning with white spirit.

  • The supplied quantity is 20 ml.
  • The wax medium needs a full 48 hours to dry completely.
  • Once dry, acrylic varnish may be laid over the finished surface.
  • True Metal Silver is made in Spain.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
