AK459 supplies the True Metal formula in Iron. Rather than relying on the initial laydown alone, the wax-based paint can be polished after drying so its metallic character is brought forward mechanically. For direct placement, it may be applied with a brush; a fingertip or cotton swab are also supported methods. Airbrush application is available when the material is correctly thinned.
Iron is supplied in a 20 ml quantity.
Preparing the surface with primer before application is recommended.
White spirit is used to thin the material for airbrushing.
The recommended period for complete drying is 48 hours.
Production takes place in Spain.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
