Product overview

Airbrush application gives AK455 True Metal Aluminium one of its four published working options. Thin the 20 ml wax-based metallic paint with white spirit before spraying it to obtain a fine surface on the model. After the paint has fully dried, the finish can be polished to develop its metallic appearance.

  • Brush, fingertip and cotton swab provide three alternatives to spraying.
  • Allow 48 hours for the wax to dry completely.
  • Prepare the surface with primer before applying the colour.
  • An acrylic varnish can be used as an overcoat.
  • Made in Spain.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
