AK4061 Sand Yellow Deposit is a 35 ml enamel weathering product for accumulated sand, dust and dirt on vehicles operating in desert or light-soil environments. Its fine texture remains visible after drying, creating physical build-up rather than merely tinting the underlying surface.

  • Shake thoroughly and place the deposit directly where sand would collect.
  • Wait about 10 minutes before working the application.
  • Use a flat brush dampened with AK011 White Spirit to blend and push the material into position.
  • Keep the brush clean while shaping accumulations around raised details and recesses.
  • Repeat the process where a stronger or more varied dust layer is required.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
