AK Interactive Intense Colors Set contains six matt 3rd Generation acrylics selected for vivid effects on figures and scale models. The palette brings together deep yellow, orange, red, purple, green and blue, providing strong base colours that can also be mixed to adjust hue and saturation. AK states that the paints offer the high coverage and adhesion of the 3GEN range for brush application and can be airbrushed after dilution with dedicated thinner.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
