AK8248 combines spring grass tufts with stones so vegetation and rocky detail enter the scene as one ready-made element. On a 1:35 diorama, they can suggest growth returning beside tracks, field edges or the base of a figure without building the grass and stones separately. The spring theme can be repeated across selected areas to connect a vehicle or character with the surrounding groundwork while leaving the main terrain visible.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
