The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German light tank in 1:35 scale.

Designed as a training tank Panzer II unintentionally has a completely different role. Due to delays in the production and delivery of new armor vehicles, these light tanks were the primary combat strength of the Wehrmacht armored units. Fast but insufficiently armored proved the genius of German tactical thought and Blitzkriegs doctrine. Panzer II weighed in at less than 9 tons, armed with a 20 mm gun and MG 34 machine gun in the tower. Its crew was 3 people. After fighting in Poland and France tanks were reinforced and an additional observation turret for the commander was added. Panzer II tanks served the first line until 1943. At that time they played the role of offensive weapons and reconnaissance vehicles. They fought in Poland, France, Russia, Africa and the Balkans. When their battle value turned out to be insufficient, and in the field replaced by newer constructions, the Panzer II has retreated back to the occupation and police units. Some vehicles also served as a base for special purpose vehicles or as a delivery platform.

The Tamiya kit allows building the German Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf. A / B / C with the commander. The box contains a hull element, 5 frames with parts of the model, exhaust photo etched parts and decals (allow the reconstruction of tanks from the 4th or 6th Armored Division of the Wehrmacht).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
