Product overview

A water-based acrylic solution that secures decals and wet transfers to model surfaces. It prepares the surface for the decal, improves adhesion and prevents the micro air bubbles that cause silvering, all without needing a prior coat of varnish. After drying it leaves a matte finish that blends the decal edges into the surrounding paint so they are no longer visible. Companion to Vallejo Decal Softener 73.212 — use Fix first to secure the decal, then Softener to conform it to surface detail.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
