Vallejo Metal Color Dark Aluminium 77.703 is a deeper aluminium shade for areas that need less brightness than the standard colour. Its darker metallic character suits shadowed panels, patinated components and tonal separation between adjacent metal sections. The 32 ml water-based formula contains aluminium pigments and is developed primarily for airbrush application, while remaining usable by brush. It dries quickly and levels across plastic or metal surfaces to form a reflective metallic coat.
- Can be airbrushed directly or adjusted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver.
- Recommended operating pressure: 15–20 PSI.
- Suitable for application by airbrush or brush.
- Wait 12 hours before applying masking materials.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
