Product overview

A water-based medium that produces a cracked, weathered-paint effect when applied between two coats of colour. Brush a liberal coat onto a dried base layer, then either let it cure on its own for a transparent crackled surface or airbrush a contrasting colour over it before it sets. The cracks form as the medium dries, revealing the base colour through the fractures. Thicker application produces larger cracks; a thinner coat gives a finer pattern.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
