Tamiya 74091 Plastic Scriber II has a retractable narrow blade made from tungsten steel, designed for scoring panel lines on plastic model surfaces and cutting through plastic and acrylic board. The blade hooks into the material and is drawn along a straight edge or template to produce a clean, controlled line. When not in use the blade retracts fully into the handle for safe storage. Two spare replacement blades are included.

Notes · Q & A
Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?+
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?+
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?+
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
