The Silver Bullet is a moisture trap that screws in right under the airbrush, after the hose — the last point before the air reaches the paint. A compressor turns the humidity in the air into water, and water arriving mid-coat is what makes an airbrush spit and crater the finish. Catching it at the tool is the point — Sparmax rates this one at double the filtering effect of other airbrush-mounted traps. One to have if you spray in a humid room or garage.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
