How it works
Open it flat and you get 18 individual brush pockets down one side, with two larger pockets on the facing panel for notes and flat accessories. Closed, it folds to a slim 17 × 39 × 3 cm — easy to stand on a shelf or drop into a bag. Equally at home on the studio bench, in a teaching kit or packed for plein-air work.
Capacity & fit
The 35.5 cm maximum length is generous — it comfortably takes full-length oil and acrylic brushes as well as shorter watercolour and detail brushes. Eighteen pockets cover a solid working set: a few large brushes, your everyday rounds and flats, plus spare detail brushes.

Pro tips
- Load brushes head-up so the tips never take any weight.
- Let brushes dry fully before zipping shut — trapped damp brushes can mildew the ferrules and pockets.
- Keep a colour-mixing note card or palette knife in the large pockets so your kit travels as one unit.
- Closed, it slides down the back of most rucksacks alongside an A4 pad.
Honest note
This is a structured soft case, not a rigid hard shell. It folds flat — it does not stand up as an easel, and the pockets are sleeves rather than individually foam-padded. For everyday carrying and storage it does its job very well; if you need crush-proof, airline-grade protection, a hard case is a different category.
