These brushes are the best! They have great tips that stay sharp. My favorite thing about them though is they have large barrels that hold a lot of paint in them. The paint just flows of of them beautifully. I got the 0, 2/0 and 3/0. The 0 is my go to for most applications.
I liked the quick response and by extension the quick shipping. I did not like that they sent 3 out of four items correctly. The fourth clearly was an oops but upon attempting to contact Hobby Heaven...well I guess I was ghosted. Not a big deal but an I am sorry would have been nice.

Again, 8404 series brushes justify their reputation. They are not cheap, but I chose to purchase them from Hobby Heaven, after realizing that even with S&H to the USA, they will still be cheaper than other online sources

Awesome brush! Proud to have one in my painting arsenal.
Disappointed to see such cheap barcode sticker material & adhesive on such a beautiful (& expensive) brush handle.
The stickers shred into pieces as you try to peel them off, and the adhesive is extremely gooey, not easy to remove at all.
To make life easier, I reached for some very mild mineral spirits to remove the glue, and wiped the beautiful gold lettering off a third of my new $230 brush set before I noticed. I was shocked to see such fragile paint used on what I read were inarguably the best sable brush around.
I’ll come back once I’ve had more time to use them, but the initial ‘unboxing’ experience has been less than awesome!
PS the heavenly hobbies brush tubes are amazing, no complaints there.
We understand your concern. EU and UK regulations require every product to have a barcode, so the distributor is obliged to apply these stickers in this way. For clarity – the entire EU stock is treated the same.

I got started on Kolinsky brushes with W&N Series 7s and fell in love with those. Since then, due to their cost and difficulty to find in Canada, I tried many other Kolinsky sable brushes and never found a truly comparable brand, until Raphael 8404.
A number of years ago, I heard there were quality control issues (W&N suffered from this too sometimes), and that paused my trial of these. Present day, I am in need of brushes again, tried other brands, but I need something that I experienced with my first Series 7s. Raphaels are basically nonexistent in Canada, but I was fortunate to find them here.
After a couple weeks, now they still brush like butter, no curling, water retention is excellent, maintained point, and the brush length is perfect. Everything I want in a brush and what I remember from my first experience with a Kolinsky Sable brush. I got sizes 0 and 1, highly recommended.
