Product overview
The 2ml tube of Iwata Lube is small enough to keep in an airbrush case or a cleaning kit. One drop on the trigger's main lever, the needle packing or the valve-piston packing keeps those parts moving freely, and a thin film along the needle and in the needle cap improves paint flow and helps prevent tip dry. Anest Iwata labels it non-toxic and silicone-free, which matters because silicone-based products should never go on the trigger or air valve. The current clear formula has no evaporative qualities and holds its viscosity whatever the conditions. It works on any brand of airbrush.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
