Product overview
The Iwata E-QDP-1/8 attaches to the airbrush side of the QuickFit quick-release connection. Its 1/8 BSP thread screws into a compatible Iwata airbrush, and the adaptor then clicks into the E-QD1 unit fitted to the hose.
- This is the airbrush half only; the E-QD1 hose adaptor is needed to complete the connection.
- Release is operated at the hose adaptor, separating the airbrush without repeatedly turning the threaded joint.
- The required E-QD1 is sold separately and is available from us.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
