Anest Iwata ships its LPH-80 with two plastic cups, and this 250cc pot is the bigger one. Bought separately, it replaces a worn or lost cup or gives the gun a second one. The LPH-80 is a miniature HVLP gun with a centre-post gravity feed, and the same pot also screws onto the Eclipse G3 and G5 guns, for which Iwata also makes metal gravity cups of 4.4oz (G3) and 7.5oz (G5). More paint in the cup means fewer refills on larger work such as varnishing, mural or model painting, all jobs the LPH-80 is listed for. For small amounts, the 70cc pot fits the same guns.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
