Product overview

Green Stuff World Fluor Pigments Set No. 2 groups Dark Red, Purple, Pink and Blue as a cooler fluorescent palette for coloured lighting, atmospheric tinting and UV-reactive details on miniatures, vehicles and scenery. Each dry powder can be placed with a soft brush or incorporated into a medium when a bonded effect is required. Under ultraviolet illumination the colours become more intense and luminous; these are fluorescent pigments rather than self-luminous glow-in-the-dark powders.

  • Contains four 30 ml jars: Fluor Dark Red 2372, Fluor Purple 2370, Fluor Pink 2368 and Fluor Blue 2371.
  • Suitable for direct dry application with a soft brush.
  • Compatible with paints, varnishes, resins, gels, texture pastes and fixing mediums.
  • Pigment fixer, acrylic medium or varnish can be used to secure the finished effect.
  • The pigments are non-toxic, but airborne powder should not be inhaled.

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
