Tiny Black 1mm goes the other way: black shades for dark crustose lichen over rock, over bark and across shaded ground, where it sharpens a rugged effect. The same black does extremely burnt or dry grass in brutal habitats, and at very small scales it covers dry, dark and even magical vegetation.

Set against other colours and textures, the black is what makes the detail read as real.
Pieces lift away individually and go down exactly as they come: no tool, no glue.
1 mm is the shortest tuft Gamers Grass makes; the rest of the range starts at 2 mm and runs to 12 mm.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
