Burned 6 mm Wild tufts set occasional beige ends above very dark bases. Burned vegetation is the first thing they are made for: scattered patches of growth that has been through a fire. The same sheet also covers the dark sedge and rush groupings found on marsh and swamp ground, which is a wetter setting for the same dark colour. Combining it with further colours and tuft sizes can broaden the palette across the finished groundwork, and the light-tipped, dark-based contrast holds against them.
The Wild format gives you around 70 tufts, equalling the listed quantities for our comparable 4 mm and 5 mm products.
This colour and height are also available as a Small sheet containing around 144 tufts.
Burned is stocked at 2 mm and 6 mm, making this the taller of its two height options.
Each tuft comes away by itself and needs nothing doing to it first.

Notes · Q & A
What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?+
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?+
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?+
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
