Gaahleri GT-918 Airbrush Compressor with 1L Tank — Dual Drive Series
⚠️ Heavy & Bulky Item — This is a full-size compressor with a steel tank. International shipping will be significantly more expensive than standard parcel rates due to weight and size. UK delivery is straightforward via tracked parcel. If you're ordering from outside the UK, please consider the shipping cost before purchasing — it will be quoted at checkout.
Gaahleri Dual Drive Series · UK Version · AC 220V
Full-size airbrush compressor with 1L steel air tank, dual independent outputs with separate pressure regulators and gauges, auto start/stop, and everything you need for serious hobby airbrushing. Includes 2× water filters, 2× hoses, and 2× airbrush holders. UK plug, ready to go.
🫧 1L Air Tank = Zero Pulsing
The tank stores compressed air and feeds it smoothly to your airbrush. No pressure fluctuations mid-stroke, no pulsing that ruins blends and fine lines. This is the fundamental upgrade over tankless mini compressors — and the reason serious hobbyists eventually move to a tank unit.
Auto start/stop means the motor kicks in at ~43 PSI and stops at ~57 PSI. While the motor rests, the tank feeds your brush silently. Less motor runtime = less noise, less heat, longer lifespan.
🔌 Dual Independent Outputs — Each with Its Own Regulator
Two completely independent output ports, each with its own pressure regulator knob and gauge. Set one port to 15 PSI for fine detail work and the other to 30 PSI for priming — then switch between brushes without re-adjusting anything. Both ports can work simultaneously.
Pull the knob up to unlock, turn clockwise to increase pressure, counter-clockwise to decrease. Push down to lock. Simple, precise, and each channel is fully independent.

🎯 Best Used For
Batch priming & basecoating — stable pressure and tank capacity for painting whole armies and large batches.
Smooth blending & glazing — zero pulsation means no pressure dips during critical blends.
Varnishing — consistent pressure for even gloss, satin, or matt coat application.
Scale models & vehicles — 1/72 to 1/24 and beyond, including large panels and bodywork.
Terrain & dioramas — enough power and stamina for larger surface areas.
Longer sessions — the tank and auto-cycle mean the motor rests between bursts, keeping heat and wear down.
🔄 How Does It Compare?
| GT-918 (This) | AS-186 / Fengda | Sparmax TC-610H | |
| Tank | 1L | 3L (typically) | Varies |
| Outputs | 2× independent (own regulators) | 1 | 1 (typically) |
| Price | Mid-range | Budget | Premium |
| Key advantage | Dual output, modern design | Proven, cheap, easy parts | Build quality, longevity |
💡 The GT-918's dual independent regulators are its standout at this price. The AS-186 wins on proven reliability. Sparmax wins on premium build — at a premium price.
💡 Pro Tips
Use the included water filters — they're there for a reason. Any tank compressor builds condensation. The filters prevent water droplets reaching your paint.
Drain the tank after sessions — open the drain valve to release accumulated moisture. Takes 10 seconds, extends tank life.
Set different pressures per output — this is the killer feature. Keep one at 15 PSI for detail and one at 30 PSI for primer. Switch brushes, not settings.
Dual output ≠ double power — both ports share the same compressor. Running two airbrushes at full blast simultaneously will drop pressure. In practice, you use one at a time.
⚖️ Worth Knowing
Gaahleri is a newer brand — they don't have the decades of track record that Fengda or Sparmax have. The compressor delivers on specs and features, but long-term reliability data isn't available yet. We're upfront about that.
1L tank is smaller than many rivals — the AS-186 typically has 3L. A larger tank means less frequent motor cycling. For most hobby sessions the 1L is fine, but marathon painters may notice more frequent cycling.
Noise claims should be taken cautiously — the "<44 dB" marketing claim is common in this category and often measured under ideal conditions. In real use, expect it to be audible when the motor cycles on. It's not silent.
This is a proper compressor, not a mini — it's heavy, it takes up desk space, and international shipping will cost more. If ultra-compact is your priority, look at the GTS-06 Serenair instead.
Who should choose a competitor? Rock-solid proven reliability → AS-186/Fengda. Premium build, whisper-quiet → Sparmax/Iwata. Ultra-compact → Gaahleri GTS-06. The GT-918 wins if you value dual independent outputs at a mid-range price.
