The AT-RS is DSPIAE's rolling set for turning flat photo-etched parts into neat tubes and curves. Lay the etch over the groove that matches the diameter you need, press it in with the matching rod, then roll the rod back and forth until the metal follows its curve. Lift rod and part out together, keep rolling on a flat bench, then slide the rod out slowly to leave a round tube. The block is CNC-machined aluminium alloy, anodised and sandblasted; the six rods are stainless steel.
Six rods and grooves: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16 mm
82 × 82 × 23 mm, 500 g
DSPIAE recommends pairing it with his AT-PB photo-etch vise
Not for children under 8; do not drop it

Notes · Q & A
Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?+
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?+
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?+
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
