Bolt Action US Rangers Boxed Set
WWII 28mm Miniatures – America's Elite Special Operations Force
🔪 "Rangers Lead The Way!" – The Spearhead of the American Army 🔪
Dawn broke over the Normandy coastline on June 6, 1944. As Allied naval guns thundered in the distance, the men of the 2nd Ranger Battalion faced the near-vertical 100-foot cliffs of Pointe du Hoc. Their mission: scale these imposing heights under enemy fire and neutralize a battery of German 155mm guns that could devastate the landing beaches miles away.
Armed with rocket-propelled grappling hooks, ropes, and an indomitable fighting spirit, Colonel James Rudder's Rangers began their assault. Despite withering machine gun fire and grenades raining down from above, the Rangers climbed. The operation would become one of the most daring feats of the war, immortalizing the Rangers' motto: "Rangers Lead The Way!"
"We're Rangers, and Rangers are the best. A Ranger never complains and never quits, and if death should confront us on the battlefield, we will laugh in his face."

⏳ Rangers Combat Timeline
The 1st Ranger Battalion is formed under Colonel William O. Darby, inspired by the British Commandos. Darby's handpicked volunteers train rigorously in Scotland, earning the nickname "Darby's Rangers."
Rangers see their first combat during Operation Torch, the Allied invasion of North Africa, where they capture the port of Arzew in Algeria with minimal casualties.
During the invasion of Sicily, Rangers spearhead landings at Gela, helping secure the beachhead against fierce German counter-attacks. Their success leads to the formation of the 3rd and 4th Ranger Battalions.
The disastrous Anzio landing in Italy leads to the near-destruction of Darby's original Ranger force, when the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Battalions are surrounded at Cisterna. Some survivors join the 2nd Rangers for D-Day.
D-Day: The 2nd and 5th Ranger Battalions perform their most famous mission—scaling the 100-foot cliffs at Pointe du Hoc to destroy German artillery positions threatening the landing beaches. The phrase "Rangers Lead The Way" is born during the assault on Omaha Beach.
Rangers fight through the remainder of the European campaign, including the Battle of Hürtgen Forest, the Battle of the Bulge, and the final push into Germany, continuing to serve as elite assault troops.
🎨 Quick Painting Guide
US forces are fantastically simple to paint, and these Rangers are no exception. With just a few colors, you can quickly bring your collection to life on the tabletop:
Step 1: Uniforms
Base coat with Olive Drab (a dark olive green). Highlight with a mix of Olive Drab and a touch of Khaki for a battle-worn look. For D-Day Rangers, consider adding dark streaks to represent the camouflage patterns applied before the landings.
Step 2: Webbing & Equipment
Paint all webbing, pouches, and canvas equipment with Khaki. Highlight edges with Khaki mixed with a small amount of Bone. For leather items like holsters, use a medium to dark brown.
Step 3: Weapons
Paint metal parts of weapons in Gunmetal or dark metallic colors. For wooden stocks, use a medium brown and then apply a light wash of darker brown to bring out details.
Step 4: Skin & Details
Paint faces and hands with your preferred flesh tone. Add details like canteens, grenades, and insignia. Apply the included waterslide decals for authentic unit markings.
