Pink at 4 lb is a workshop-scale option for larger sculpting, mould filling, armature work and repeated builds where material is prepared over more than one session. The complete kit weighs 4 lb, shared equally between a 2 lb Part A tub and a 2 lb Part B tub. This quantity lets the same measured mixing routine continue across successive sections of the job. Colour is present throughout the compound rather than applied as a surface layer, and the cured piece may still be painted in the usual way.

  • The combined material provides 1–3 hours for shaping and surface refinement.
  • Form a 50/50 batch from equal parts A and B, then knead it for two minutes to initiate activation.
  • No baking is involved: the product self-hardens and reaches full cure in 24 hours.
  • Sanding and drilling should begin only after curing is complete.
  • Aves reports 0% shrinkage together with a hard, waterproof result.
  • For a tailored shade, first blend Pink with another Part A colour and then introduce an equal measure of Part B so the colour passes through the finished piece.

What's the difference between Green Stuff and Milliput-type putties?

Green Stuff is flexible and springy, holding fine sculpted detail like cloth and cabling. Milliput-type putties are harder-setting and sand smooth once cured, which makes them better for gap-filling and surfaces you want to blend flat. Many sculptors mix the two.

How do I stop epoxy putty sticking to my tools and fingers?

Keep a little water on the tool and your fingertips as a release; the putty won't grab a wet surface. Work in good light and let very tacky putty firm up for a few minutes before shaping fine detail.

How do I get the mixing ratio right?

Most epoxy putties cure at a 1:1 mix of the two parts by volume, kneaded until the colour is fully even with no streaks. Under-mixing leaves soft patches that never fully harden, so mix longer than feels necessary.

How do I fill a seam gap cleanly without losing nearby detail?

Press a small amount of putty into the gap, then wipe the excess back with a wet tool or a cotton bud before it cures, leaving putty only in the recess. Cleaning up wet saves sanding over detail later.
