Built around a mirror result, AK477 Xtreme Metal Chrome provides 30 ml of metallic lacquer for scale models. It is designed to develop its reflective finish over a dark surface, where the underlying tone supports the chrome effect. The lacquer combines the Chrome colour with the highly reflective appearance that defines this particular finish.
- Apply it in thin layers rather than building one heavy coat.
- Use AK471 Xtreme Metal Black Base underneath as the dark foundation.
- The Chrome surface is delicate and will not accept heavy weathering.
- The mirror comes from a special type of high-quality metallic pigment.
- Made in Spain.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
