WWII RAF Temperate Land Scheme is a four-bottle set of 3rd Generation acrylics for the RAF's early-war scheme, and AK's own text is a dated history of it: Dark Green and Dark Earth were the standard upper-surface colours for day fighters from 1938 until August 1941, while bombers (except Mosquitos) used them until the end of the war. Sky arrived as the day-fighter underside colour in June 1940; in late November 1940 the under surface of the port wing on Fighter Command day fighters was ordered black; in April 1941 the all-Sky underside returned, until August. Night went under the night bombers that formed Bomber Command's backbone after it switched to night operations early in the war.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
