AK Interactive WWII Japanese Army AFV Colors contains six 3GEN acrylic paints for Imperial Japanese Army vehicles used during the late 1930s and the Second World War. Before 1942, multicolour schemes used IJA Khaki or, according to some sources, IJA Tea Brown as a base with Earth Brown, Green or Dry Grass. From 1942 onwards, schemes usually combined IJA Dry Grass as the base with IJA Earth Brown and IJA Grass Green. The set therefore covers both principal periods in one box.
- Set contains (6 × 17 ml): AK11435 IJA Khaki (Field Drab), AK11906 IJA Tea Brown, AK11902 IJA Green, AK11112 IJA Earth Brown (Grim Brown), AK11905 IJA Dry Grass, AK11310 IJA Grass Green (Olivgrün Opt.2)
- Covers both periods: the pre-1942 multicolour patterns and the later Dry Grass based schemes
- All six colours are matt and non-metallic
- Acrylic colours for brush; for airbrush, dilute with water or AK11500 thinner
- Made by AK Interactive S.L. in Logroño, Spain

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
