Product overview

A six-bottle 3rd Generation acrylic set from AK Interactive's Figure Series for WWI German figures. AK prints one uniform ladder — Extra Dark Green (Shadow), Dark Green Grey (Base), Faded Green (Lights) — for what its own text calls the characteristic Field Grey uniform, the same name AK gives its WW2 Field Grey box. The set's distinguishing feature is the helmet scheme: the back panel diagrams the typical WWI helmet camouflage, calling out Tenebrous Grey, Saddle Brown, Sahara Yellow and Dark Green Grey again. Six matt acrylics in 17 ml bottles.

  • Set contains (6 × 17 ml): Extra Dark Green (Shadow), Dark Green Grey (Base), Faded Green (Lights), Saddle Brown, Sahara Yellow and Tenebrous Grey
  • AK's printed structure: uniform ladder shadow AK11153 → base AK11133 → light AK11135, with the swatch strip bracketing only those three as "Uniform"; the helmet diagram calls out AK11026, AK11104, AK11040 and AK11133 again
  • Shares AK11153 Extra Dark Green with AK11627 Field Grey (Feldgrau) Uniforms and AK11628 DAK Soldier Uniform Colors — one bottle, the shadow tone in each
  • We stock all six colours separately as 17 ml singles
  • Matt finish; made in Spain

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
