A four-colour 3rd Generation acrylic set in AK Interactive's 3G Special Set cube box, made for painting WWI French figures. AK's own text says the set provides the base colour, shadow and light for the characteristic Blue Horizon (bleu horizon) uniform worn by these troops. The fold-out label prints the ladder: WWI French Uniform Shadow (Dark Sea Blue) beneath French Greyish Blue Base, with WWI French Uniform Light (Spectrum Blue) as the highlight. Leather Brown stands outside the ladder. All four are matt acrylics in 17 ml bottles.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
