Black AK16005 is the black option in The Inks — Soul of Color, AK Interactive's 30 ml acrylic ink line. Its semi-transparent character suits filters, washes and layered applications over base colours, whether you work by brush or airbrush. The ink uses high-quality pigments to give figures saturated, vibrant colour.

  • Mix it into acrylic paint to increase tonal strength and colour intensity.
  • Polymers and additives help bind the pigment, and aid resistance and drying.
  • The clear bottle has a pipette cap for controlled drops.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
