Six 3rd Generation acrylic colours for most of the aircraft flown by the German Legion Condor units that fought alongside Nationalist forces in the Spanish Civil War — and, AK notes, for many German aircraft transferred to the Nationalist forces. The set supports AK's listed schemes: RLM 63 overall on the Heinkel He 51; RLM 63 uppers with RLM 65 undersides on the Bf 109 D and E; RLM 61/62/63 camouflage with RLM 65 undersides on types including the Do 17 E/F, He 111 and Ju 52; and RLM 70/71 splinter patterns with RLM 65 undersides.

  • Set contains (6 × 17 ml): AK11814 RLM 61, AK11815 RLM 62, AK11816 RLM 63, AK11817 RLM 65 (1938), AK11821 RLM 70, AK11822 RLM 71
  • This box contains all four colours of AK11715 Luftwaffe Pre-WWII Aircraft Colors and adds RLM 70 and RLM 71 — effectively the Pre-WWII box plus the splinter greens; AK11715's own text names the Legion Condor
  • Matt finish; acrylic colours for brush, and for airbrush dilute with water or AK11500 thinner
  • The box carries AK's printed "Scale Reduction Factor" mark, as on the rest of the 3GEN AIR range

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
