Three 3rd Generation acrylic colours for Soviet mixed-construction fighter aircraft used from the summer of 1943 to the end of World War II — the AMT-11/AMT-12/AMT-7 scheme in one small box. All three are also inside the eight-bottle Soviet Aircraft Colors 1941-1945 set (AK11741); this is the box for a late-war fighter project that needs nothing else.

  • Set contains (3 × 17 ml): AK11916 AMT-7 Light Blue, AK11917 AMT-11 Blue-Grey, AK11918 AMT-12 Dark Grey
  • The same scheme that AK11741 lists for mixed-construction fighters from the summer of 1943 to the end of the war — for bombers, transport and earlier schemes, the eight-bottle box is the complete option
  • Matt finish; acrylic colours for brush, and for airbrush dilute with water or AK11500 thinner

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
