Product overview

AK Interactive Real Colors Thinner RC702 is the 400 ml version of the thinner formulated for the Real Colors lacquer paint range. It reduces paint for airbrushing and can also be used to adjust consistency for brush application. The larger bottle suits regular users of Real Colors who need the same thinner in a higher-volume format.

  • Formulated for use with AK Interactive Real Colors lacquer paints
  • Adjusts paint consistency for airbrush or brush application
  • Same thinner system as RC701 in a larger 400 ml bottle
  • Made by AK Interactive S.L. in Spain

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
