AK16006 Primary Yellow is an acrylic ink from AK's range The Inks — Soul of Color, sold in 30 ml bottles. Its semi-transparent formulation allows an underlying base colour to remain visible while successive coats increase the deposited colour. The ink can be applied by brush or airbrush, either on its own or alongside acrylic paint when greater tone intensity is required.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
