Product overview

North Africa Dust is made for the dry dust found across North African and other desert settings. Brush it evenly over a matt basecoat to build a natural dusty finish. Although the powder can stay in place on matt paint without fixer, add one anyway to protect the treated surface from damage.

Use a medium brush to spread the pigment, then work AK048 Pigment Fixer or AK011 White Spirit through it with a second clean brush.
Suitable themes include AFV, aircraft, civil, diorama and military modelling.
Supplied in a 35 ml screw-cap jar.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Do I need a primer?
